Inauguration of the Industrial Complex

On November 29, the Carrinho Group inaugurated the Carrinho Industrial Complex in the town of Taca, municipality of Catumbela, coastal strip of the corridor that connects the cities of Lobito and Benguela.

Consisting of 17 manufacturing units, the Carrinho Industrial Complex has already generated around 1000 jobs, and will process, at the highest technical and quality standards, raw materials. The objective is to introduce 1 million tons of various products that are part of the basic basket in the market of the trade of food products with the Tio Lucas brand, but also to stimulate the increase in the national production of corn, wheat, sugarcane, soybeans, beans, rice, among others, and at the same time, to reduce, by up to 90%, the import of finished products in this area.

The investment for the implementation of the project is around USD 600 million and is the result of a partnership established between the Carrinho Group, Paramount Energy SA, a Swiss entity that has a turnover of around US$10 billion per year, as well as Banco Keve.

The inauguration was attended by the President of the Republic, João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, who was accompanied by the Governor of Benguela, Rui Falcão Pinto de Andrade, as well as several members of the Executive, businessmen and different national and foreign entities invited by the management of the Carrinho Group.
