Grupo Cart was the winner of the Agriculture, Distribution and Logistics category in the first edition of the Forbes Social Responsibility Awards 2023. The event took place on April 21, 2023, at the Intercontinental Hotel, in Luanda, and was attended by renowned judges and representatives of Forbes Lusophone Africa.
In the category in which it competed, the Cart Group competed with two relevant companies in the sector, but stood out for its innovative approach and search for the verticalization of the Angolan food industry by managing all stages of the process, from origin, transport, storage, transformation and marketing.
This award represents the recognition not only of the operational excellence of the Cart Group, but also of its active participation in social causes. Every day, the company provides more than 45 million school meals in 10 provinces, benefiting more than 500 schools in the country. This action positively impacts the lives of thousands of children, by promoting adequate nutrition and a significant improvement in their academic performance.
Upon receiving the trophy, Samuel Candundu, Financial Director of Grupo Cart, expressed his gratitude and highlighted Forbes’ initiative in recognizing companies and projects that bring real and positive contributions to the community in which it operates.
